Russell joins Billy Dee Williams
at the Brisbane Supanova Expo

Tiptree Literary Award

Enchanters has been nominated for the James Tiptree Jr. Literary Award, which is given for works of science fiction or fantasy that transcend conventional perceptions of women and their role in society. One of top literary awards for the fantasy genre, the Tiptree Award honors work that is thought-provoking and imaginative.

David Bryan Russell attended book signing events at the Gold Coast branches of the Angus & Robertson bookstores branch on the Gold Coast on December 7, 2006. He discussed the philosophy behind Enchanters and answer reader questions about his writing.

The official launch of David Bryan Russell’s novel Enchanters was held at the Stavanger Kulturhus, Norway, on October 28, 2006. The event was presented by Rogaland Fylkeskommune, in conjunction with Freya Publishing and Kulturhus. The author discussed his novel, his approach to the fantasy adventure genre, and the influence of traditional Norwegian folklore on the story.
